This report documents the critical factors, beginning with the advent of community colleges in the late 1950s, which initiated and sustained successful transfer and articulation policies among the diverse institutions in the BC post-secondary education system and the influence of key individuals of authority to garner widespread support and trust for what is now well established practice in British Columbia.
